Redesignation of DEFCON 110 as DEFFORM 110

New Guidance

Earned Value Management: The introduction of a new Topic and associated Commercial Policy Statement bringing together the commercial aspects of EVM. The material has been drafted from a commercial perspective and complements the technical material within the PPM content of the AOF. There are links between the two areas and you are strongly advised to familiarise yourself with all available guidance if you are involved in EVM.
Overseas Procurement and International Acquisition: The introduction of a new Topic and associated Commercial Policy Statement. This topic aims to fill the gaps in the existing policy and gives the overarching guidance on the topic. See Notices for further information.

Amendments to Existing Guidance

Please note that changes to the guidance in each edition are highlighted in yellow on the affected pages. This highlighting will be removed in subsequent editions.

Company Financial Status: Updated to show CAAS Industry Analysis team as the focal point for CompanyWatch and Dun & Bradstreet reports. Paragraphs 6 and 35 affected, new paragraph 36 inserted and subsequent paragraphs have been renumbered.
More Effective Contracting: Updated to link to the new Earned Value Management topic. Further Reading and Paragraph 35 affected.
Overseas Procurement: Amended to reflect the new Overseas Procurement and International Acquisition topic. Paragraphs relating to: strategy considerations, wider industrial issues, procurement routes and Sovereign Immunity, removed from this topic and placed in the new topic (paras 5-7 and 15-26 deleted, subsequent paras have been renumbered).
Tender Preparation: Updated to link to the new Earned Value Management topic. Further Reading and Paragraph 35 affected.
