Lessons / Hints / Tips

Subject Lesson / Hints/ Tips
Disposal
  • Capability no longer required or judged to be ineffective. Consider presentational aspects and involve Ministers where required. Disposals Services Authority (DSA) within DE&S is responsible for all aspects of disposal action.
  • Note need to consider the security classification of the equipment or platform.
Support / Capability Review
  • Where it is clear from the outset that the UOR will remain on an operation for more than one year, CBs should conduct the Capability Review as early as possible. Minimising the duration of the initial support package, and providing authority for the Lead DT to contract for a robust rolling support package covering the length of the operation. Support packages are to be prepared using the Support Solition Envelope. Evidence previously provided for the UOR specific Compliance Tool may be used if still applicable.
