Planning and Scheduling at Programme Level
The Planning and Scheduling (P&S) lead within the Programme Support Function (PSF) will direct the focus of programme level activities.
What Planning and Scheduling activities should be carried out at Programme Level?
The PSF carry out a number of P&S activities
The PSF aggregates and analyses project and pan DLoD information:
- Ensuring coherence between the individual projects and DLoDs either side of the dependency.
- Enabling identification, co-ordination and management of dependencies across projects and DLoDs.
- Ensuring coherent reporting between all interested parties is maintained.
- Enabling slippages and stoppages to be reported and dealt with in the most appropriate manner.
The PSF also plans and schedules its own programme management activities including:
- Maintaining the programme plan
- Monitoring and reporting activities
- Risk, issue and assumption management activities
- Requirement and acceptance activities
- Assurance activities
- Communications
- including stakeholder management activities
- Activities in support of programme governance
- Including Programme Board meetings.
