Relevant Organisations and Groups

Governance of the Capability Change Planning Process is achieved via various groups and boards including:

  • Joint Capabilities Board (JCB)
  • Capability Management Group (CMG)
  • Capability Planning Group (CPG)
  • Programme Board (PB)
  • Availability Working Group (AWG)
  • Policy and Programme Steering Group (PPSG).

Other relevant groups are detailed in the following table:

Group Notes
IPT-centric - Integrated Test Evaluation and Acceptance Working Group (ITEAWG)
  • Formed by the programme board IPT's ITEA Manager, to progress development of the ITEAP and its implementation, including management of evidence generated within the process. The ITEAWG might be supported by technical specialist sub-groups.
Requirement Management Working Group (RqMWG)
  • Formed by the programme board, to provide a platform to aid in deriving system requirements, measures of effectiveness and validation.
  • Can be a good starting point for to establish an ITEAWG.
Combined Test Team (CTT) (Air)

 

Capability Integration Steering Group (CISG) (Land) For more information, see the Army Second Customer Handbook.
Logistic Support Committee (LSC)
  • Formed to address achievement of the Logistic Support Date (LSD).
  • Used to confirm that whole life support arrangements are in place for land equipment projects. Led by the ILS Manager.
Maritime Environmental Working Group (MEWG) (Sea)
  • Address development of detailed MOD environmental policy on MOD shipping activities.
