Stage 6: Start to End of Demonstration

What should be achieved ?

  • Validation criteria completed.
  • Statement of Requirement (SOR) and Equipment Contract Specification (ECS) finalised.

What steps should be performed ?

  • Re-examine the validation criteria to confirm their cost versus risk justification, and to check they align with any Capability Acceptance Plan. Whilst finalising system verification and acceptance plans, look for opportunities to remove duplication of Test and Evaluation activities.
  • Finalise System Performance and Acceptance Criteria.
  • Evaluate and document evidence for progressive Acceptance.
  • Revise the SOR or ECS as appropriate.
  • Change individual user requirements in line with the evolving operational needs. Constrain the changes by the Main Gate approval limits recorded in Annex A of the Customer Supplier Agreement or seek re-approval.
  • Continue to trade user requirements as necessary in order to optimise achievability and value-for-money. Constrain trading by the Main Gate approval limits, or seek re-approval.
  • Record trade-off decisions in all the appropriate Requirements and Acceptance documentation.
  • Refine the SRD and any MOD architectural models and assumptions based on outputs from the Supplier’s system engineering processes.
