Role and Responsibility

Roles and responsibilities of individual team members within a project team or support group will vary considerably. However, this does not mean that only those with responsibility to the Team Leader for quality and quality assurance are solely responsible for quality. Everyone in the team must play their part.

Checklist

Team members should:

  • Think quality all of the time.
  • Strive for continual improvement of project processes and delivered product and/or service quality.
  • Co-operate with and assist those conducting quality assurance and/or management related tasks.
  • Ensure that quality assurance and/or management requirements are addressed in all contracts placed.
  • Comply with internal quality assurance and/or management requirements.
  • Ensure that corrective and preventive actions are completed in a timely manner.
  • Plan, Do, Check and Act.
