DE&S Mandated Quality Performance IndicatorsIntroductionDE&S and Industry (including their Trade Associations) recognise that there is a need to continually establish whether ‘quality’ in the acquisition of defence materiel and services is improving in line with Allied Quality Assurance Requirement (AQAP) 2110 Measurement analysis and improvement, relies on objective evidence and understanding of how the quality of products and/or services delivered to the front line is changing, and how well the associated quality processes are working. What is the Policy in DE&S ?For all contracts of £5m and over, the mandated Quality Performance Indicators (QPIs) will be included in the Supplier and Customer Performance Management (S&CPM) process How will the Policy be implemented ?The QPIs will be jointly reviewed by the respective DE&S and Supplier quality focal points. The reviews will take place within an agreed timescale and as appropriate to the contract. The results of these reviews will be added to the other agreed Supplier and Customer Performance Management process performance criteria and submitted to the Supplier Relations Team by the projects. How will improvement be measured ?The reporting of mandated QPIs will be incorporated into the existing Supplier and Customer Performance Management (S&CPM) process It is anticipated that the project team’s competent Quality Practitioner will be the lead for agreeing and managing the activities associated with the QPIs.
