Learning From ExperienceLearning from Experience (LFE) is a through life process which enables Organisational Learning by:
Learning From Experience is closely linked to Post Project Evaluation. LFE facilitates organisational learning whilst project evaluation assesses how the outcome of a project relates to the initial investment appraisal. The Defence Industrial Strategy (DIS) identifies LFE as one of the key drivers of the business. Central to the DIS is the ability to use our knowledge in order to optimise decision making. The DIS states - "Knowledge should be managed, shared and re-used across applications, enterprise and community boundaries much more easily." LFE is recognised as a key business process. Project planning should take account of LFE at all stages of the lifecycle. Applying LFE will aid in anticipating risks, issues and increase the probability of future success.
