The User role in Requirement Prioritisation

The User, working with the Capability Sponsor in the Capability Planning Group (CPG), assists in:

  • The identification of capability shortfalls by taking part in capability audits.
  • The production of single-Service operational shortfall Priority Lists.
  • Putting together the Joint Operational Priority List.

The User delivers Force Element at Readiness/Sustainability (FE@R/S) to the levels specified in the single-Service Management Plans.

As well as providing the single Service’s input into the Departmental Planning Process. They advise on the relative impact of potential savings and improvement options in the Departmental Finance Planning round which is carried out every two years.
