The Structure of Science Innovation Technology (SIT)

The structure is described by the SIT Organisation Chart.

The SIT Top Level Budget (TLB) is headed by the Director General Science and Technology (DG S&T)External link to Ministry of Defence Intranet content.

The SIT business model is based on the following four tasks:

  • Formulating MOD Research and Development Strategy and Policy.
  • Delivering MOD Research and Development.
  • Formulating and Delivering Research and Development in Strategic Technologies.
  • Core Governance and Financial functions.

The AOF has been updated to Version 2.0.0 on 1st April 2008 following the introduction of the main content in the tactical layer. In addition small changes have been added to the Operational layer.
