The Structure of the Capability SponsorThe Joint Capabilities Board (JCB) leads the Capability Sponsor. The JCB provides strategic leadership and direction, in order to deliver a balanced, coherent and affordable Capability Sponsor Plan to meet MOD policy requirements. The structure is described by the Capability Sponsor Organisation Chart. A downloadable version of the of the Capability Sponsor Organisation Chart [59KB PDF] is also available. Beneath the JCB, Heads of Capability (HoCs) are responsible for discrete capability areas. They define capability requirements and identify equipment-based options that are coherent across all Defence Lines of Development (DLoDs). The HoCs make sure that capability change planning is conducted effectively. There are three other key 1 star areas within the Capability Sponsor:
