The boards are supported by a Corporate Governance Framework, which provides CDM with comprehensive evidence that internal management, risk and control processes are robust. Executive Committee of the Main BoardThe Executive Committee turns the strategic intent set by the Main Board into clear plans for delivery and performance. It manages the delivery of outputs and risks. Membership:
DE&S Investment BoardThe DE&S Investment Board (DESIB) provides a single focus for internal endorsement or approval of all DE&S major investments. It provides DE&S endorsement of Category A and B projects prior to their release for external approval (for example Investment Approvals Board, Defence Board) and approves all DE&S in-service support projects within delegation. People BoardThe People Board provides leadership on all DE&S people issues. The Board makes sure the right people, processes and structures are in place to support the organisation’s leadership and corporate behaviour. Membership:
Audit CommitteeThe Audit Committee reviews the reliability and integrity of DE&S processes by having a comprehensive assurance and compliance process. This activity supports CDM in his role as TLB Holder for DE&S. Where assurance is ineffective, it will recommend appropriate actions to be taken. Membership:
Safety CommitteeThe Safety Committee oversees the application of the safety and environmental management framework for equipment acquisition, support and logistics. It ensure that a strong safety and environmental protection culture is developed throughout DE&S. Membership:
